Krishnagar-West Bengal: A local CPI-M leader was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Doibazar of Chapra in Nadia district. Police said 47-year-old Ramprasad Chakraborty was killed on the banks of the Jalangi River when he was waiting for the boat to cross the river on Tuesday night. Some gunmen pumped bullets in him and he died on the spot. Nobody was arrested in the incident, police said.
