Six People Died At Kanakdurga Temple In Vijayawada

Vijayawada: This New Year going to be a bad year up to now. Today, at kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada six people are died, among them five are ladies and one is a boy. Today is the last day of Bhavani Deeksha and every year lakhs of people are coming to visit Durga devi and to end their Deeksha. The rush continued this year also. Today itself the rush is heavy and on the hill road, there is only one way to get in and to get out. Due to the heavy number of people and due to the single way there has been stampede at the Omkaram turning, and this caused 6 people to death and 15 members to injury. MLA Devnineni Nehru and MP Lagadapati RajaGopal have visited the victims in the hospital and they had announced one lakh rupees to who had died in this incident. The people who are died in this incident are from Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam, Kurnool, and Kakinada. The devotees are anger with the Devastanam board due to lack of facilities. The board has failed to arrange necessary arrangements to the devotees.
